Stayton put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 41-28 win over the Cascade Cougars. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Stayton's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.5 points per game. As for Cascade, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Stayton and Cascade should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. Stayton (ranked eighth) will meet Sweet Home (ranked 203rd) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Stayton's defense has only allowed 25.7 points per game this season, so Cascade's offense will have their work cut out for them. Similarly, Cascade will take on Newport at 5:30 p.m. on Friday up 120 places (29 vs. 149).
