Softball Recap: Dixon Dukes & Duchesses vs. DeKalb Barbs

Dixon never let their opponents score on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the DeKalb Barbs. That's more bragging rights for the Dukes & Duchesses, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The result came thanks to Allie Abell's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
