Football Game Preview: Hanover Central Wildcats vs. Andrean Fighting 59ers + How To Watch

The Hanover Central Wildcats will head out to challenge the Andrean Fighting 59ers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Things were looking good for Hanover Central after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They received a blow as they fell 42-23 to Hobart. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Brickies 6-0 in the first quarter.

Hanover Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dominic Giglio, who rushed for 82 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and Jacob Ferko, who picked up 74 receiving yards and one score. Giglio really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.

Meanwhile, Andrean had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 35-7 victory over the Hornets. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Fighting 59ers just coasted through the last quarter.

Hanover Central better keep an eye on Brady Elish. He was instrumental in Andrean's win, rushing for 50 yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 80 yards and one TD while completing 88.9% of his passes. Elish also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Hanover Central now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Andrean, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Hanover Central couldn't quite finish off Andrean in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 and fell 3-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
