Essex won the last time they faced Burr & Burton and things went their way on Thursday too. The Essex Hornets managed a 71-66 win over the Burr & Burton Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Essex's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Burr & Burton, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.

Essex will challenge Rice Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Rice Memorial knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 games -- so hopefully Essex likes a good challenge. As for Burr & Burton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brattleboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brattleboro is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season.
