Conestoga put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their undefeated season alive. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Downingtown West Whippets. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Conestoga's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Downingtown West are ranked 168th).

Conestoga's win bumped their record up to 8-0-1. As for Downingtown West, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6-1.

Looking ahead, Conestoga will head out on the road to take on Lower Merion at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Downingtown West, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bayard Rustin at 3:45 p.m. on October 1.
