After a string of ten wins, Crystal Lake Central's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were beaten by the Huntley Red Raiders 63-28. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 15th).

Crystal Lake Central's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7. As for Huntley, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 26-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crystal Lake Central will head out to take on Cary-Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cary-Grove will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Crystal Lake Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Huntley, they will venture away from home to square off against Crystal Lake South at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
