It was a good run, but Weddington unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 52-37 bruising from the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 88th in North Carolina, while the Lancers are ranked 29th in South Carolina).

LaKiara Alexander continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Legion Collegiate Academy, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 boards. Alexander has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Amelia Williams, who posted 13 points and seven assists.

Weddington's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 19-12.

As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-53 defeat against 1 of 1 Academy on the 5th.
