It was a Battle of the Birds when Humboldt duked it out with Washington Tech on Saturday. The Hawks fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. The loss was Humboldt's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Humboldt fell to 6-1-2. As for Washington Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-2 record this season.

Humboldt didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Lourdes on the 15th. As for Washington Tech, they will face off against Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
