Basketball Recap: B O L D Triumphs

Cedar Mountain typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday B O L D proved too difficult a challenge. They pulled ahead with a 75-74 photo finish over the Cedar Mountain Cougars. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

B O L D's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Gross, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 21 points and five boards. Gross' evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Will Penkert was another key player, putting up 17 points.

B O L D has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Cedar Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-2.

B O L D will be playing in front of their home fans against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cedar Mountain, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Sleepy Eye at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sleepy Eye's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
