Softball Recap: Jackson Takes a Loss

Jackson was the 10-0 winner over Monroe when they last played one another back in May of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Jackson lost 18-8 to Monroe on Friday. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kiana Holden (2025) was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

Jackson's record now sits at 0-2. As for Monroe, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Looking ahead, Jackson will be playing in front of their home fans against Everett at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monroe, they will take on Lake Stevens at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Lake Stevens' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Monroe's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
