Herndon typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday McLean proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 3-1. The Highlanders haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

While McLean might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Herndon scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 22-25, 25-18.

McLean found their leader in sophomore Jose Eslinger, who had 14 digs and three assists.

McLean's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Herndon, their loss ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5.

McLean has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Langley on the 23rd. As for Herndon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against George C. Marshall on the 21st.
