Mountain View waltzed into their match on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Casa Grande Cougars by a score of 7-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mountain Lions also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

Arianna Figueroa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mia Quinonez was a standout: she scored a run while going 3-for-4. AAliyah Pereda was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Quinonez wasn't the only one making solid contact: Mountain View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in seven consecutive contests.

Mountain View's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Casa Grande, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-7.

Mountain View will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
