Baseball Game Preview: Westside Wolverines vs. Eagle's View Warriors

The Westside Wolverines will venture away from home to challenge the Eagle's View Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Westside comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Westside came up short against Andrew Jackson on Wednesday, falling 15-5.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Eagle's View and First Coast Christian, and Eagle's View kept the tradition alive. Eagle's View's pitcher stepped up to hand First Coast Christian a 16-0 shutout on Thursday.

Eagle's View got a great performance from Lukas Presely as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave Presely a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nathan La Rosa, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Dylan De Leon was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Eagle's View, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Westside might still be hurting after the 26-1 defeat they got from Eagle's View in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Westside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
