Baseball Recap: Eagle Ridge Academy Beats Nova Classical Academy for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Eagle Ridge Academy entered their tilt with Nova Classical Academy on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Knights.

William Sanchez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brennan Young was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. He has become a key player for Eagle Ridge Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Logan Andler, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Eagle Ridge Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Nova Classical Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

As for Nova Classical Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Croix Lutheran at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
