Preview: Cedar Reds vs. Sports Leadership & Management Bulls
The Cedar Reds will face off against the Sports Leadership & Management Bulls at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cedar is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Cedar pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 61-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mountain View.
The losing side was boosted by Landon Kreitzer, who scored 25 points. Kreitzer set a new season high mark in points with 25. Another player making a difference was Hayden Kee, who scored 13 points.
Even though they lost, Cedar were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Sports Leadership & Management beat Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas 55-42 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sports Leadership & Management.
Sports Leadership & Management relied on the efforts of Andre Cade, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, and Kali Clemons, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The match was Cade's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Lincoln Paulson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Cedar's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Sports Leadership & Management, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
