Basketball Game Preview: Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers vs. Rochester Rams

The Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers will face off against the Rochester Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rochester took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Shenango, but they still walked away with a 57-52 victory. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 355th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Rochester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Union Area and fell 55-26. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-14.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Rochester, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart took their victory against Rochester in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 71-49. Does Our Lady of the Sacred Heart have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rochester turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
