Basketball Recap: Alliance Health Services Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Alliance Health Services Academy can now relate to. They took a blow against the East Valley Falcons on Thursday, falling 79-23. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-5.

East Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jasper Meija, who went 5-for-7 en route to 15 points. Meija has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nikita Pozdniakov, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 12 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Alliance Health Services Academy now has a losing record of 7-8. As for East Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-7.

Alliance Health Services Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. We've got a battle between Falcons coming up. East Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
