Volleyball Recap: Nay Soe and Gianni Deleon Secure Win for Fort Wayne Northrop

Fort Wayne Northrop barely beat New Haven the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bruins were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Fort Wayne Northrop's got stronger as the match went on, holding New Haven to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-22, 25-11.

Leading Fort Wayne Northrop to victory were Gianni DeLeon and Nay Soe. DeLeon had 13 assists and five digs, while Soe had nine digs and one assist. Those nine digs gave Soe a new career-high.

Fort Wayne Northrop's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for New Haven, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-9.
