Baseball Game Preview: Bellarmine College Prep Bells vs. Oak Ridge Trojans

The Bellarmine College Prep Bells will head out to challenge the Oak Ridge Trojans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for Bellarmine College Prep after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Jesuit by a score of 6-5. The Bells have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Evan Tavarez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Vincent Kim also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Oak Ridge came up short against Franklin on Tuesday and fell 4-1. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Oak Ridge also got a good showing from Noah Nowaski, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Oak Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Spero, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Bellarmine College Prep's record is now 2-2. As for Oak Ridge, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
