Summit had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They skirted past the Dayton Bulldogs 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hilltoppers have posted against the Bulldogs since May 5, 2015.

Caroline Putnam was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Summit's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Dayton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summit will challenge Oak Knoll at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dayton, they will host Johnson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 2, the Crusaders 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
