Preview: Bigfork Huskies vs. Floodwood Polar Bears
Bigfork is on a four-game streak of home losses, Floodwood a nine-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Bigfork Huskies will take on the Floodwood Polar Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Bigfork suffered their biggest loss since November 30, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 83-56 loss at the hands of Fond du Lac Ojibwe O. Bigfork has not had much luck with Fond du Lac Ojibwe O recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 84-21, which was the final score in Floodwood's tilt against Cromwell on Friday.
Bigfork has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Floodwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
Everything came up roses for Bigfork against Floodwood in their previous matchup back in December of 2019 as the squad secured a 71-40 win. Will Bigfork repeat their success, or does Floodwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
