Christ Presbyterian Academy and Brentwood Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Christ Presbyterian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Brentwood and fell 8-7.

Nealy McCluskey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Brentwood Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 8-4.

Brentwood Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6.

Christ Presbyterian Academy skirted past Brentwood Academy 4-2 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
