Baseball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lincoln Lutheran Warriors, falling 18-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Broncos of the 18-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Centennial saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Slawnyk, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that Slawnyk hit this season.

Centennial's record now sits at 0-6. As for Lincoln Lutheran, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Centennial will face off against rival Thurston-Cuming County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lincoln Lutheran is set to take on their familiar foe Central City/Centura at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
