Softball Recap: Frankton Find Success

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Frankton never let Delta get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Frankton hasn't had any issues with Delta recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Paige Parker made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ava Stanley, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Malorie Clark, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Frankton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Frankton's record is now 12-7. As for Delta, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Looking ahead, Frankton will be playing in front of their home fans against Tipton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.4 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Delta, they will take on Wapahani at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
