Softball Game Preview: Dysart Demons vs. Coronado Dons

Dysart is a perfect 10-0 against Coronado since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Demons will be playing at home against the Dons at 3:45 p.m. One thing working in Dysart's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.

On Monday, Dysart beat Carl Hayden Community 11-7.

Miley Anaya spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Savannah Farmer was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Mya Sias was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.

Dysart was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Coronado scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 21-5 to Tempe.

Dysart is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Coronado, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Dysart came out on top in a nail-biter against Coronado in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, sneaking past 28-27. Will the Demons repeat their success, or do the Dons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
