Basketball Game Preview: Sentinel Spartans vs. Great Falls Bison

After both having extra time off, the Sentinel Spartans and the Great Falls Bison will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sentinel will be strutting in after a win while Great Falls will be coming in after a loss.

Two weeks ago, the stars were shining brightly for Sentinel in a 47-31 victory over Belgrade. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Great Falls might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Hellgate an easy 45-24 win. The defeat continues a trend for the Bison in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Great Falls' loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-2. As for Sentinel, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Sentinel strolled past Great Falls in their previous matchup back in December of 2021 by a score of 50-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sentinel since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
