Volleyball Game Preview: DeKalb Barbs vs. Libertyville Wildcats

The DeKalb Barbs will take on the Libertyville Wildcats in a tournament on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: DeKalb has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Libertyville will arrive with five straight victories.

On Thursday, DeKalb didn't have quite enough to beat Naperville Central and fell 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, DeKalb sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 24-26, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Libertyville beat Lake Forest 2-0 on Wednesday.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Libertyville was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12.

DeKalb's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Libertyville, their win bumped their record up to 22-6.
