Scarsdale hasn't had much luck against Clarkstown North recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Raiders are taking a road trip to square off against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Scarsdale got the win against Port Chester by a conclusive 18-9. The contest marked the Raiders' most dominant victory of the season so far.

E. Baron made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off three home runs, eight RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-5.
In other batting news, Scarsdale got a massive performance out of L. Zoland, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of O. Unis, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Clarkstown North came out on top against Pearl River on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Rams walked away with a 10-5 win over the Pirates.
Amaya Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.
At the plate, Siena DeCicco was excellent, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Marlee Levin also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Clarkstown North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
The victory made it two in a row for Scarsdale and bumps their season record up to 3-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games. As for Clarkstown North, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Scarsdale might still be hurting after the 19-1 defeat they got from Clarkstown North in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
