Basketball Recap: St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse Comes Up Short

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Oakesdale Nighthawks, falling 73-34. While losing is never fun, St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Oakesdale is ranked 104th).

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bear Brewer, who posted nine points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Ty Pierson, who had six points.

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Oakesdale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-36 win against Prescott on the 17th. As for Oakesdale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-38 victory against Colton on the 16th.
