Leetonia hadn't done well against Wellsville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bears walked away with a 25-13 win over the Tigers. The game was the first time the Bears have beaten the Tigers on their field since September 18, 2020.

Despite the defeat, Wellsville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jeron Jackson rushed for 88 yards and one score. Ethan Morris helped out on the ground, rushing for 93 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Leetonia's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Wellsville, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

As of now, neither Leetonia nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
