After losing to First Colonial the last time they met, Bayside decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Marlins claimed a resounding 57-3 victory over the Patriots. Given the Marlins' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Patriots are ranked 301st) , the win on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bayside pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 35.7 points this season. As for First Colonial, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
