Basketball Recap: Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs vs. Suncoast Chargers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 65-24 loss at the hands of the Chargers. Dr. Joaquin Garcia just can't catch a break and has now endured five losses in a row.
Suncoast's win on Monday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nekeria Sutton, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sutton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Philleah Bright, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Dr. Joaquin Garcia's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Suncoast, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.
Dr. Joaquin Garcia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Suncoast will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on February 7th.
