Volleyball Recap: North Duplin Rebels vs. Woods Charter Wolves

North Duplin and Woods Charter squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but North Duplin had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Woods Charter Wolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-9.

Leading Woods Charter to victory were Cecilia Brignati and Anna Stuntebeck. Brignati had seven digs and two aces, while Stuntebeck had 29 digs, ten aces, and a kill. Those ten aces gave Stuntebeck a new career-high.

This is the second loss in a row for North Duplin and nudges their season record down to 12-9. As for Woods Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

North Duplin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woods Charter, they and Roxboro Community will meet in a canine-themed contest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woods Charter will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
