Volleyball Recap: Wharton Tigers vs. Columbia Roughnecks
Wharton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Columbia Roughnecks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.
Columbia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abby Miksch led the charge by getting four digs and three aces.
Wharton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Columbia, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Wharton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Tidehaven on the 14th. As for Columbia, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Van Vleck on the 14th.
