The Gateway Panthers will take on the Poinciana Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gateway will be strutting in after a win while Poinciana will be coming in after a defeat.

Gateway is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Lake Placid, posting a 42-13 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Poinciana's offense. They were beaten by Auburndale 42-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 381st, while the Bloodhounds are ranked 81st).

This is the second loss in a row for Poinciana and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Gateway, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
