Volleyball Game Preview: Marionville Comets vs. Skyline Tigers

The Marionville Comets are taking a road trip to take on the Skyline Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Marionville was able to grind out a solid win over Pierce City, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Comets.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 16-25, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Skyline hadn't done well against El Dorado Springs recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Tigers came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 17-25, 25-16.

Marionville's record is now 8-6-3. As for Skyline, their record now sits at 12-8-2.

Marionville was able to grind out a solid victory over Skyline in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
