Baseball Game Preview: Christian Patriots vs. Madison Warhawks

Christian is 2-8 against Madison since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Patriots will challenge the Warhawks at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Christian's offense. They fell 4-0 to Patrick Henry on Tuesday. Christian's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xander Molina, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Madison has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.4 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They lost 11-2 to Mira Mesa. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warhawks have suffered since May 1, 2024.

Madison's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-6. As for Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Madison when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
