Recap: Independence Eagles vs. Ravenwood Raptors
The Independence Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 63-51 victory over Ravenwood. That's another feather in the cap for Independence, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Independence's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Savanna Seay, who scored 15 points along with six assists and two steals. Madison Zaitz was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Independence's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Ravenwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.
Independence will head out on the road to challenge Summit at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Tennessee (Summit is ranked 211th, while Independence is ranked 213th). As for Ravenwood, they will be playing at home against Brentwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Brentwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
