Basketball Recap: Providence Academy's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

On Tuesday, the Providence Academy Patriots earned a 66-53 win over the Greenland Pirates. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Pirates are ranked 206th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Providence Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-6. As for Greenland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Haas Hall Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Providence Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Greenland, they will be playing at home against Thaden at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
