Baseball Recap: Columbus Christian Comes Up Short on the Road Against Purdue Broad Ripple

Columbus Christian kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 15-1 to the Purdue Broad Ripple Lynx.

Columbus Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Lucas, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

The victory got Purdue Broad Ripple back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Columbus Christian will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Tindley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Purdue Broad Ripple, they will venture away from home to face off against Indianapolis Crispus Attucks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Lynx will no doubt try to take advantage of.
