Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Grace Christian School

Grace Christian School entered their tilt with Richmond Christian on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-4 two weeks ago.

Chase Caddell made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Andrew Whittington was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Braxten Lawrence was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Grace Christian School's record is now 9-4. As for Richmond Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Christian School will face off against St. Anne's-Belfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Kings are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Richmond Christian, they will square off against Grove Christian School at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
