Softball Recap: Jarrell Has No Trouble Against Burnet

Jarrell's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Burnet Bulldogs 14-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-5 on March 3rd.

EMMERSYN DREYER spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jarrell got a massive performance out of PEYTON GOUGLER, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was ABIGAIL G BERRIOS, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

Jarrell's record now sits at 9-15-4. As for Burnet, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11-2 record this season.

Jarrell will challenge Lampasas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burnet, they will square off against Salado at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
