Soccer Game Preview: Glendora vs. Walnut

The Glendora Tartans will head out to take on the Walnut Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Glendora fell victim to Bonita and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Glendora can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1005th, while Bonita are ranked 484th).

Meanwhile, Walnut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Diamond Bar. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Walnut couldn't quite close it out.

Walnut's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-4. As for Glendora, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-3.
