Basketball Recap: Tri-County Skates Past Demotte Christian with Ease

After losing to DeMotte Christian the last time they met, Tri-County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tri-County Cavaliers breezed by the DeMotte Christian Knights to the tune of 58-18 on Saturday. The Cavaliers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri-County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Burns, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Schneider, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Tri-County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Tri-County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for DeMotte Christian, they now also have a losing record at 4-5.

Tri-County will challenge West Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for DeMotte Christian, they will take on Victory Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. DeMotte Christian is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
