Big Game from Tasin As Maranatha Christian Fell 27-21
Starting off the list is Maranatha Christian's Aaron Tasin, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Tasin picked up two sacks and made 15 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Tasin must have Tri-City Christian's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Tasin last faced Tri-City Christian back in October of 2023, he made 14 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

O'farrell Charter's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Dakobi Coleman
Dakobi Coleman helped snap O'Farrell Charter's 17-game losing streak dating back to last season. Coleman rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 143 yards and a touchdown on only 13 passes, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August.
Rock Academy's probably not too fond of Coleman given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Coleman saw the Warriors), he rushed for 191 yards and a touchdown.

Joel Valverde Dazzles in Tri-City Christian Win
Joel Valverde was instrumental in extending Tri-City Christian's winning streak to three on Friday. Valverde did his part (and then some), throwing for 337 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 50 yards for the 'W'. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
On the season, Valverde has thrown 19 touchdowns while averaging 173.8 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had six passing touchdowns.

Saina Tafilele Puts an End to O'farrell Charter's Losing Streak on Friday
O'Farrell Charter's 17-game losing streak dating back to last season is now nothing but a memory thanks in part to Saina Tafilele. Tafilele was unstoppable on Friday, rushing for 21 yards.
On the year, Tafilele has averaged 24.6 rushing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging five receiving yards per game. This year he is averaging 11.29 receiving yards.

Asher Benner Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Asher Benner of Coastal Academy. Benner picked up 145 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The win was the fourth in a row for Coastal Academy, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Benner and Coastal Academy will challenge Tri-City Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
