Softball Recap: Midway Vikings vs. Adrian Blackhawks
Midway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Adrian Blackhawks, falling 18-12. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Blackhawks from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Laicey Anderson led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Josie Seifert was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Adrian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Midway will head out to take on Hume at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Adrian, they will square off against Cole Camp at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Birds' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Blackhawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
