While Hartland's victory against Linden wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Hartland narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Linden 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Hartland has posted against Linden since May 25, 2021.

Olivia Forrest spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Sadie Malik was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Hartland is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Linden, their loss dropped their record down to 30-7.
