Flag Football Recap: Irvine Comes Up Short

Irvine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They fell 19-7 to the Woodbridge Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Vaqueros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 606th, while the Warriors are ranked 66th).

Irvine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Woodbridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Irvine will challenge rival Rosary Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Woodbridge is set to face off against their familiar foe University at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
