Woodgrove's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Independence, sneaking past 2-1. Woodgrove have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Independence, too.

Liam Barrus and Dax Berg scored both of Woodgrove's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Woodgrove now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
