Volleyball Recap: Lawrence Central Takes a Loss

Lawrence Central lost against Franklin Community back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bears fell 2-0 to the Grizzly Cubs.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-13.

Karis Barnes paced Lawrence Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Barnes got some help from Evaana Galbreath and her ten assists. Lillian Dailey controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Lawrence Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Franklin Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Lawrence Central has already played their next match (against Purdue Polytechnic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Franklin Community, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Batesville on the 20th.
